I can’t believe it has been a little over a year since I have posted anything. What a crazy year it has been. I have created a personal business name for myself Robin’s Nesting LLC. I have big plans. We will have to wait and see how it all turns out.
But on to the reason for this post. I have always loved traditions. One of my many is Thanksgiving morning. I would wake up early and brave the usually cold morning air and drive to the nearest gas station. For the last 10 years, it has been the corner Maverick. Then I would come home, get the turkey ready, put it in the oven, and then go back to bed for a few hours. Hey I didn’t say it was an ambitious tradition, right?
After I am able to sleep for awhile I would get up and look through all of the ads for Black Friday shopping deals. I would then decide if anything was worth getting up early Friday morning and go brave the masses. Let’s face it Black Friday shopping isn’t what it used to be. Great deals and the fun of trying to get my hands on one.
Now we have Black Friday shopping that starts right after Halloween and continues on until just before Christmas. The stores and shoppers have ruined this fun tradition.
But so has The Salt Lake Tribune. I have called around to several places and none of them have seen the paper yet this morning…now what do I do for a Thanksgiving tradition?
